I watched some documentary, i believe it was "The Corporation" anyways they showed an alipine deck that was meticulously crafted by a person that was being paid 31 cents an hour... this isn't saying that all the rest of our electronics aren't made the same way... on the bottom of my excelon amp box it says something like, designed in japan, made in mexico... quality comes down to whether it lasts the first 3 months... you either get a dud or what you paid for
