I'm sorry if I'm a little off topic on this one, but I just had to mention that painting the amplifier may void your warranty depending on the company. Just wanted to throw that out there, wasn't sure if it was still covered or not.
To properly paint, you almost always have to take it apart to get a proper look to it.
