Rear speakers? 6x9 or 6.5? Idea's?

I've tried searching through the forums, but they are picky in terms of how many letters are inlcuded in the search.

However the post I did find tend to lean towards using an adapter of some kind and using 6 1/2 components in the rear.

I have no problem doing this but I have a couple of questions about doing this or sticking with 6x9.

Originally I was going to go with the Alpine Type R 6x9 - but I have read mixed reviews on the Type R lineup.

So now I'm looking into the following 6x9's

Eclipse SP6900 Point Source - Kevlar based compnents with tweeters.
Pioneer TS-D691R - Kevlar based 2-ways.
Focal 690 CA1 - Uh its Focal.

OR

Use 6.5. Well I can find my own 6.5's I know more about them. My question would be, should I mount the tweeters beside the speakers in the 6x9 location? I dont want to cut the panels or anything and this would seem to be the option.

Thanks for any idea's and comments you have!

Rob.

P.S - Car is a Subaru SVX. If you've worked on one I'd love to hear the stories!
