Hi,
I'm fairly new to the whole car audio thing and wanted to get some quick pointers to what 6.5" speakers are best for a 200/pair max budget. I love my bass but am looking for more rounded speakers in terms of high's/mid's/low's. Any kind of direction/advice would be appreciated, thanks a lot!

 

These Energy components have worked great for me the past year, i'm putting 65w/chan RMS into them and they sound really nice.. Normally $200/set but they're on sale often, only $80 right now.

 

I've always had great luck with the Inifinity Ref. series. They often go on sale for $100 at Future Shop, and are great sounding all-around.

What about Infinity Kappa 652.9i speakers?

 

I've had no experience with them but they seem nice.. if you get them and they don't sound like you had hoped then you may want to look into amping them with around 75w/chan RMS 4ohm.. should release the beast in 'em.

 

I really like my Kenwood eXcelon KFC-X1730P there are clean and clear if you power them right. They are by no means a set for sq comps but they do sound good

 

I have ordered a Rockford Fosgate Prime R300-4 4-channel car amp, was going to pair with the infinity kappa 652.9i, but ill check out those kenwoods... any good well known websites for reviews on car audio? Thanks for help so far
