My friend has just blown his Infinity Reference 1030W and was wondering what he should do with it. Is it worth sending away to get reconed? How hard is it to recone something yourself? Would you recommend doing it yourself?

Thanks for the help.

I'm not even sure if Infinity will send out recones?? If they do I'm sure you could try to do it yourself, there have been a few posts on it before.. but it can be very easy to screw up.. very frustrating grinding all the crap off and you gotta make sure it's centre'd properly!

Best option would be into take it into his dealer and get them to check it out..

warrenty maybe?
