Repair guy won't give amp back!!!! UPDATE! AHHHHHH
If he is a authorized repair center for soundstream, call them up, explain the situation and have them contact the repair shop. If the company is still reputable they will take care of you, regardless of the warranty status of the amp.
An authorized Marantz repair facility had my defective home reciver for 7 months. After getting the run-around for 5 months I called the Marantz rep explained the situation.
The very next day I recieved a phone call from the repair shop apologizing for the delay. I was then sent a brand new receiver from Marantz with shipping paid for at the repair shops expense. Marantz had threatend to pull his authorized repair status.

Thanks everyone for all your replies.
I have called him once again today and reminded him that May is just around the corner and that he needs to uphold his promise that it will be completed by then. He hesitantly agreed to have it by Saturday, but once again told me to call him Saturday morning. I've had this sort of conversation before with him and calling the day I'm told to pick up the amp usually means that he will tell me it's not done and don't come to pick it up.
SOoooo.... I will be stopping by saturday one way or another to take possession of my amp once again. If any of you are willing to join me that day to add a bit of pressure (in numbers - not force) I would really appreciate that!
I also contacted Soundstream (by email) to find out whether or not that location is an authorized repair depot (as they so claim). Hopefully they'll be able to get back to me soon.
Anyhow, here is the address and I suggest never to bring anything there:
Electronics Service Depot

Show up in person and tell him to get your amp. Now.
Take it in whatever shape it is in and never darken his doorway again.

Generally I say I want it, they give it, I leave.

He claims that it's working, and all that needs to be done is re-assemble it. I don't see how that can take more than a couple hours at most. Sometimes I think this punk sold the amp on me or broke it beyond repair...
At any rate, I think I'm gonna head down tomorrow at 2pm. PLOW, you're comin, Marco you in? JohnnyToronto, I'll take you up on your offer! And anyone else who's willing to help out a fellow CCA member, please email me and we'll meet up before hand.
And anyone know a good repair shop, please let me know!
Thanks!
