Leave your car out in freezing rain for the day until the shiat cakes up to a 1/2" or more.

It's free and it works wonderfully well. Fun part is trying to get into your car though. Probably better if you stay in the car and wait it out.

I noticed too my car was fairly sound proof when iced over,, unfortunatly i don't run my woofers hard in the winter to see if there is improvement.
