PS..

You can try stiching the tear up with a needle and thread... then coat the back with liquid electrical tape....

It's a little more flexable then the goop....

Ok, to be precise (and thanks for not bagging on me) the price to re-surround 10 inch woofers is $100./ per unit, which includes parts and labour.
Now if any of you can do it properly in 15 minutes, you have a well paying job waiting for you here.
it takes approximatly an hour (in some cases more) to do each surround, and that's without re-installing the dustcap.
the work is guaranteed for 1 year.
Or.., you could simply purchase a new subwoofer.

I'm sorry if I implied your price wasn't fair. I just meant that it isn't really worth it on a low end sub that is so old. Buying a new one would be a better decision IMO.

Thanks for the clarification Kool .
Sometimes, not all the time it's better to repair something that you have & works well, rather than start again.
There are perks to both, in one sense, you get new sound and warranty for new subs and appropriate cabinet.
Or keep what you already have and like .
