we don't discriminate Riken, if it doesn't work, we'll repair it, if we can't we'll tell you, if it's not worth it, we'll tell you that as well.
Isn't that what "sound advice " is all about?

I have a Clarion flat sub, that had a couple of small holes punched in it (picture frame in the trunk and no grill).
Any idea what would stick well to the aluminium, and not be too hugly?

Not looking to spend a whack of time or $, but if I can make it work it might make someone happy for a couple of bux.

I just use silicone, though I heard once that its not the greatest for subs, but if its ripped already why not? A friend of mine punched a large hole in an old sony 12 inch and used silicone, its been holding strong for about a year. Doesn't sound new, but it'll hold it together

As I sit here I think to myself..... Whould it work if you put solder in it's place then took some say 1000 grit to the aluminum?......

Try a thin layer of epoxy, on some tinfoil?
I'd say you need something rigid as a surface, the epoxy should do well as a band-aid.

Good idea....maybe that sticky foil for sealing heat vents...I think I have some.
Maybe adding a gram or two to the diaphram might lower the Fs enough to actually have a decent bottom end.
Thanks.
