what's the deal with 8 ohm speakers. I have a set of high end mids/tweets I'm thinking of installing. Why are there no 8 ohm car amps? I don't see any problem using 4 ohm amps just wanted everyone's opinion.

thanks guys

4 ohm is a bit of car audio tradition more than necessity... 'but it will be louder at 4 ohms'.

All amps will play at 8 ohms, your output will be decreased, however your signal/noise ratio will be much more favourable.(i think thats how it goes)
