Sealed Subs Sound Louder Outiside than Ported?

Fivelitre we know you didn't want it loud outside, it's the Class A guy that like to get "high quality" females with pounding bass!
Anyways, on to your original question. I am not sure why it would happen with some boxes but not with others. In my experience as long as the frequencies are the same it should be the same result and not depend on the box design very much. I would recomend taking the subsonic filter off when using the sealed box and see how you like that. I never run subsonic filters for sealed boxes.

If you want your sound just to be heard on the inside, just upgrade your stock speakers. Simple as that.
