The state fits (both in California) and so does the timeline. Sean Adler left ID just after the lawsuit was filed.

I can only speculate but Adobe has a number of programs that you have to pay to use. Perhaps they were using a cracked or bogey version and got found out

I received a PM on a different site from Sean that he left ID voluntarily to persue something outside of car audio and that it is a different Sean Adler that is getting sued by Adobe.
