I know i did all my installs for the last 10 years up untill i started spending bucks on equipment like my kenwood head unit.. I had the shop install it cause it was a difference of a 1 yr mail in warranty (kenwood standard) if i installed it myself.. or for the extra 30 dollars the shop installs it and i get a 2yr warranty, also if my kenwood does fail (as one other board member's did a few times) then the shop swaps it out for a loaner, and sends mine to be fixed.
