Settings For Pioneer Deck
Looking to see what settings you guys are using on your pioneer decks, I have a 4100 ub bought new last year and wanted to try some settings you guys are using. Want the best out of my system.... I listen to some rock, hip hop, rap etc... Probably a bit of everything.

What settings are you looking for exactly?
I have the 410UB which is practically the same as the 4100UB.
I like to play with the settings for whatever song I'm listening to. Usually the band being played will have the same kind of sound throughout their album. So I set the EQ and sub crossover to where it sounds good for that artist. Next I might play some hiphop style music and have different settings to get the best sound. I don't set the EQ, crossovers, sub gain and even fr/rr speaker balance, and leave it. I adjust on the fly. I should have the lettering worn off the face of the HU in about a year.

Also it will depend on your speakers. Not all speakers will sound the same at the same settings on the HU. I just spent an hour adjusting settings on the HU today to get a better sound. It also helps me understand what each setting does and how it affects other settings.
1 setting I've been testing is the Sound Retriever. It has 3 options. Off, 1 or 2. I have it set at 1 for MP3 on USB music. It's close to cd quality. Test between USB and cd with the same song to find out the difference. There is a difference.
The 3 band EQ is under rated. Really it is a 12 band EQ. 3 major bands with 4 adjustments within each band.
Use the sub channel pre-outs. It allows for more adjustability at the HU.
I've been running the sub setting 2 at 63hz and -5. Still has overpowering bass on some rock music. Maybe I just need more mids and highs.
