Setup for Pioneer DEH-P7700MP
Hello all,
I have the Pioneer DEH-P7700MP for over a year. Unfortunately the warrenty just expired as well...
The problem is, my SUB Preout does not work (only the R channel works, and L does not work). This decreased the output of the subs noticeably. The solution to this is to use the REAR Preout and set the HU's Sub control through the REAR Preout. However, I wont be able to fade to F and R with this setup. This is fine until I am ready to give the HU to Pioneer to repair.
As it is a Christmas holiday, I recieved a set of 6.5 Infinity 6012 (60Wrms) Coaxials. It is great and I'm powering it with a Zapco 50x4 Amp (using the FRONT Preout).
I also have a set of Boston Acoustics S65 Coaxials (35Wrms) to use in the rear...
The question is, can I use the Pioneer Rear speaker wires to power the rear, and still have the REAR Preout to power the subs?
Another quick question, for all Pioneer users, what is the best way to set the gain? I mean, at which volume should I set it at to adjust gain control. A review said the signal is unclipped until 61 with 1.8V (and 62 is the max, clipped with 2.2V)
Thank you.
