shop hours?
Really if you close ar nine the only thing you can do in later part of the day is smaller jobs like decks and speakers so if you guys are selling alot of that than I don't see why it's a bad idea but it all depends on how busy it is. If someone is going to buy a full system at 8:30, it's not like you guys are going to install that in half an hour anyway so I don't see that part making any sense, in reality if a deck gets sold at 6 you can still book for another day, get a deposit for the install and your set.
Where I was working for the longest time our hours were mon-wed 9:30-6pm Thu-Fri 9-9
Sat 10-5. with 2 installers.
I'd take wed off, the other isntaller had mondays off. So both those days there was only 1 installer. Thu and Fri one of us did the 9:30-6, the other 12:30-9 shift so there was always someone there and some overlap. Saturdays we both worked the full day.
That was the theoretical schedule but There was always alot of late nights, and occasional sundays. From April untill mid sept I usually had 64 hours per week on the books.
With my own shop almost ready to go I was going to be open for retail 9-6, mon-wed, 9-9, thu fri and 10-6 sat. With installation available after 10am everyday untill closing.
