Exclamation

Hey guys, pretty angry with car audio right now my friends. Here goes the issue at hand. My friend has a 94 Mazda B-3000 pickup truck. There was a mtx thunder 6304 four channel amp and a panasonic ghost deck in as the current system.
So this is all good and fine the system worked great. So it's time for the new gear to go in. The deck was removed and the new rcas were run down the passenger side of the truck. The mtx amp was then removed.
The new sub box and amp rack was put in and it fits great. But there is a awefull ticking sound that acts similar to engine whine. It increases as he drives and decreases as the revs drop. There is zero gauge power and ground run driver side direct to the battery then back to distrobution blocks and split to the three amps.
We then took the truck to a local stereo shop and had them take a quick look as they are very busy. Both installers immediately said it was the alternators' fault. They also mentioned maybe to try draping the rcas over the seat.
So we went off to a local alternator shop for pricing and to get his opionion. He brought out his "fluke 28" meter i think it was called. He then checked the alternator and said that it charged fine and there was no noise being caused by the alternator that he could see. He said that we were getting an "ac ripple" that was causing the noise in the system. He mentioned that it was probably the ignition wires.

So heres where it really gets confusing,

-When the deck runs the stereo in the truck the ticking noise is there only when the truck is started.
-Running the front channel direct from a friends Accord does not create the tick.
-When the deck from the truck has its rcas ran to the accord and the truck is running the is no noise occuring in the accord.
-We ran a new ground to the battery for the deck the noise still occured.
-When new rcas were just draped over the seats to the front channel of the amp the tick still occured.

Does anyone have any ideas at all please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I might try adding a second ground to the body as close as you can to the amp.
Was the mtx 4channel amp grounded to the battery as well?
Good luck.

No the mtx amp was grounded to the frame where the seatbelts are bolted down.

The thing that's bothering me is that the the stereo works fine when fed a signal from another headunit from another car. It also works vice versa when the truck feeds a signal to the accord so i don't think the deck is at fault by itself.

Keep trying to help me though i'll be on here for a while tonite.

I would not ground to the seatbelt bolt, grind down the metal, and redo the ground elsewhere.

Ground Loop Isolator.

Had that problem in my Buick. That cured it...hopefully, no problem like that in the caravan, but we'll soon see
