Instead of Dynamat, i used this roofing materila that my dad has, works the same way as dynamat, but not quite as thick. Plus my buddy just has a basic set up, no SPL for him. But it turned out pretty good, I think, for a first time use.

note: I did do double layers in certain areas as well

It's called blueskin. It does not smell AT ALL. It is very sticky. As Rob would say smurf skin!

I've used severl varying roofing materials in place of Dynamat, and with the exception of a couple aluminum backed products, I've always regretted it. I have over 300sq feet of Iko Goldshield material in my Civic, and it sucks. Mass loading my butt, I want to tear it all out, but it sticks just well enough to make that a pain in the *** too. It does well enough for the first while, but it slowly begins to lift off in certain contours.

well, there is a primer that u have to put down with a paint brush first off. It sticks very well, plus for what he has its perfect, cause he isn;t going to upgrade it anytime soon. And will be fine for myself in the future, i can't afford to use bquiet or brown bread at this point in time, and i can get this stuff for practically nuthin
