sounddeadning/sealing doors
sounddeadning/sealing doors
so i am going to order some stuff to deaden my doors and rear hatch very soon. (100sq/ft at least to get me started) i want to seal the doors up in the process to help with mid bass.
whats the best method for sealing up the bigger holes? i plan to deaden inside the door panel (outer door skin) as well as the inner skin. do i just put a sheet of the stuff over the larger holes? i can understand just covering smaller holes with deadener. also, i will be removing the vapor barrier (which is a rubber mat on my vehicle) do i need to apply a plastic barrier over top of it when its done or just fire the panel back on?
i've done some deadening on my integra before but not a full on job like i want to do this time around.
any tips would be great.

I covered the larger holes with some plexiglass i have kicking around, then the deadener over that, was fairly solid, I wouldn't just mat over the bigger holes, but it I had to do it again, I'd fiberglass the bigger holes with a removable piece, then mat the crap out of it and screw it on, solid, and removable.

That dude is crazy! I know one of the team members. He went out and bought a brand new F-250 HD Think he spent like $50,000. Then riped it all apart and did that everywhere. He has a 3" and 2 tweets in the upper door aswell, i think the guy even cut subs into the floor
He also won IASCA rookie division this past year I believe.
