I am in the process of parting out my system. All I have left in my car is a pioneer premier deck powering 4 Infinity 6802 (6"x8") speakers. When I start to turn the volume up the speakers start making a poping sound whenever there's any bass at all. My intentions are to put the stock deck back in. Will this help the problem at all? What's causing the problem?

tweeters can pop if you give them too much power(driving the HU into DISTORTION would be a good way to do this), also voice coils hitting back plates can make a popping kind of sound....

Turn it down or say goodbye to your speakers (they may already be damaged!)

Check to see if any wires/speaker connections are pinched/shorted to chassis.
usually happens with door speakers at the speaker terminal.
avoid excess wires wrapped around the basket.
check to see if there's a coil next to the speaker magnet.
