So do any of you guys protect your speakers from water? or is it something I shouldn't worry about?

Not necessarily anything wrong with the seals. I notice that on most cars now if you roll down a wet window it will come up in the same condition. The seals don't seem to squeegee anymore like they used to on older cars

Maybe something to do with too much drag for dinky electric motors?
