Paul you are dreaming, 3k at 4 ohm? lucky if you get 1500 watts. After imp rise and voltage drop to a stable level of around 13.2v, wont be close to 3k.

run it at 1 ohm and just turn the bass down.

as far as amps blowing up.

i dont think i ever seen 500.1 blow up.

seen two stetsoms go into flames. a small one and a big one.

What if I just buy another BPx2200.1. Run one on each sub. (maybe even one channel per coil) They make lil over 2400 rms each, I already have one of them and it's a cool cat for daily pounding. Doesn't even begin to warm up. Only run me about $500 for a used one...

Besides... we all know them Crown current servo's are kick ***. I like this amp.
