Anyone pondering how serious Vega is about being a 'player' in the industry needs to check out this press release... These guys know their loudspeakers and the Pro Sound experience is quite applicable to car audio. Loud for a long time means power handling...
Simi Valley, CA --Cerwin-Vega is pleased to announce the recent employment of several key figures in the company's engineering and new product development team. These new employees-all of whom bring years of experience in loudspeaker design-will play a direct role supporting the company's aggressive new product strategy.
The new team consists of three key positions. First up is New Product Development Manager. This position was filled by Dave ***, who most recently worked for JBL Pro Audio. "Dave has quickly become a valuable member of the new Cerwin Vega," commented Dave Rice, President of Cerwin-Vega.
The Director of Engineering role has been filled by Domenic Buonincontri, an industry veteran who most recently helped Harman International with their successful Revel product line. Buonincontri also holds several patents in loudspeaker design and is expected to play a key role in product strategy. "I couldn't be more pleased to work with someone as experienced and professional as Dominic," said Rice.
The third position is the Senior Design Engineer, which was awarded to Bill Bush. Bush comes to Cerwin-Vega after working for NHT, where he led the company's engineering team and was responsible for many highly acclaimed speaker designs. "With Bill's expertise, we are able to bring a new level of innovation and quality to Cerwin-Vega," commented Rice.
With its product development team in place, Cerwin-Vega will focus its energy on updating the company's entire product line and increasing its presence in the pro audio, consumer and mobile audio markets. "This is an exciting time at Cerwin-Vega," said Rice. "You can expect to see many great things coming out of our new product development team."
