sub and amp problems
#35
Since you are running two single voice coil 4ohm subs, you are either at a 2 ohm or 8 ohm impedance setup so it is not possible that you are going below what the amp supports.
I'm sure you checked and rechecked, but theres no way you're wires are touching or grounding out on anything? Theres no way that you have youre polarities mixed up?
I'm not trying to pick at you, I'm just scratching my head as to why its not working

wire is fine , polarities are correct but one guy said maybe rca's are grounding out i have a 40 dolar set of nice ones hooked from my sub output on the brand new clarion deck to the amp input shouldnt pick up any interference or anything. , , the deck is the Clarion DXZ 955MC brand new from smart audio solutions a sponser here , as well are the bass worx rca's , the expensive set , does it make a difference that the deck is only grounded same as the factory one was? just hooked the black to black or do i need better for aftermarket? i am trying to pin down this problem without sending the amp for 40$/hour checkout

I don't think that your deck ground would make a difference. As long as your deck stays powered up, then it should be sending a signal to the amp to power it up.
Did you ever check how low your voltage drops when you crank the volume? My hifonics cuts out whenever I turn it up really loud. I turn the deck off and back on and the amp turns back on and operates normally. I've actually had my deck (kenwood x-890) shut off due to such low voltage.
