East sub placement

allright i am making a sealed box more oriented into sound quality with a good punch. they are cw12 from massive ( got them for real cheap). and they recomend a 1.5cubic. 2subs= 3cubics. they will be in theyre own enclosure.

but i was wondering about the placement of the subs. i havent seen any downfireing subs. why??? does it sound like ? if it sounds good i would go that way myself. i have a grand caravan but i need some trunk space since im a familly man. so downfireing the subs wont get in my way and scratch the scrap out of them

if anyone experienced the downfireing placement i would like to know how it whent as of sq and spl. and maybe recomendation on the size of the box. Im looking for a more flat responce since i listen to almost anything

would appretiate the help
