Sub question

Hey guys im new to this site... well im new to car audio altogether. Ive been reading a lot of stuff online about car audio but i cant figure out how i should be hooking my subs up. I have a 2000 watt hifonics Brutus bxi 2006d amp and 2 rockford fosgate P3 ( 4 ohm ) subs the amp is a mono and im not sure how to hook it up. Some of my friends are saying i need to put the wires together and put them in together and they are saying it will make it 2ohm. Pretty much all im asking is how do i hook it up and what ohm will they be at? thanks for the help guys.

I have the same amp. Read up some forms on the Hifonics output connectors.

So chances are your p3's are dual 4 ohm .. Wire them up in parallel first to get them to 2 ohm Red to red black to black .. then tap out from one black and to one red and that's one speaker at 2ohms. Now do it to the other sub.. Take the two subs and wire their reds to reds and blacks to black.. Now you have 1ohms and only two wires. red and black.. Once you know the connections for the brutus for 1 ch mono bridged. Pop her in sit back and enjoy max output from that amp..

Peace
