Angry Sub in storage

I took my system out of my car about 4 1/2 years ago and put everything into my parents finished basement for storage. I went to it today and the sub wouldn't move. Everything was working when I took it out of the car. Would a little bit of moisture be the cause of this, corroding the copper windings? Am I gonna need a recone to get things back to working order? What can I do to stop this from happening if I ever put subs in storage again?

feel if the surround is hard, as well as the spider (the yellow or black ribbed thing that goes from the basket to the cone). If both are soft there's likely a rust issue from moisture in the coil gap etc.

The surround is still soft but the spider's hard and I'm assuming it takes a recone to fix. Anyone want to buy an RE HC motor with SX basket?
