Since I have a few days before the FI is available. Anyone have thoughts on the available upgrades to the sub?

There are options for Spider, I Heat Ring, P Chamfer and Cooling package.

I was thinking of getting the I Heat ring since it is designed to be used with a sealed enclosure. I'm just not sure about the cooling package and if there is any benefit in a sealed enclosure setup.

For your application, I would get Heat Ring and P Chamfer, as they may have combined benefit, and go for high QTS which is better for sealed boxes. Cooling is a waste with your power, and extra spider is a toss-up. Some will say for $5 cant go wrong, but theoretically if you want to be about it, it will not provide added benefit with your power and may even sacrifice a bit of efficiency, however, the difference will be marginal at best, and on another note, an extra spider may be of more interest for resale purposes. If in the future, you want to get a bigger amp up to 2K, you gonna wish you got that spider and the cooling option. So really, the only option you should be wondering is cooling or no cooling depending on power or resale value or interest.

Thanks Sasha. I don't see myself selling the subwoofer because resale is a joke. The only way I would get a bigger amp is if mine died. Even then, I doubt I would get anything bigger because this will be more than enough. Heck, the car has a Bose sound system with 9" sub and it actually sounds "ok". Way better than I was expecting.

At $5, it is hard to say no to the extra spider.
