So yesterday i fried the tinsels on my backup sub that i have been running for over a year which was an old school Fi Q... like back before the had options old school. The Q was my first modern era sub after not having a system for something like 10 years. I liked it sealed and found it loud enough on rap and such but lacking in punch on metal. I mean it had punch but wasnt loud enough for me. So i picked up a freshly team psi reconed 05 xxx and put it in a 2.5 box after displacement tuned to 32. I now had the punch i wanted on metal and it was stupid loud on rap. Then a little over a year ago i fried the tinsels in it .

Oh and on a side note i fried the Q on Disturbed's 10000 fists in the air. Im kinda proud that i took it out with some rock. So now im bassless and well my front end sounds pretty good it is totally lacking some punch lol. I really want to get the XXX reconed and put back in to see if it is as good as i remember it but im also wondering about trying something else while i get the XXX reconed and actually do it this time.

So anybody got anything that will take 1000+ and sound good doing it? I dont want no fart box and i love hearing distinct crazy quad drum bass kicks. I looked threw the classifieds and didnt see anything .

Oh and on a totally unrelated note i have been thinking of trying 2 15's IB in my impala. Looking for a much more flatter response curve but increase cone area a ton to maintain volume... Thoughts?....
