what brand of isolator did you use ?

the isolator really should have taken care of all noise problems... if you are getting 'pops' Id say sig ground may be in contact with the chassis ground, you have shorting speaker wires, shorting tinsel leads, you are bottoming your sub out, or there is something wrong with the amp...

but its pretty hard to troubleshoot over the net...

if Ground does not have the same # at each toy (amp deck line diver so on ) you will get distortion or whine
Alright, I will try that. And I assume you mean the ohm readings at each ground location? Thanks for the advice, cuz that will be very helpful for figuring out this problem.

I actually got the isolator for free from some dude, lol, so ya, that is probably the reason why it didn't work too well. BUT, I decided that I wanted to fix the problem instead of putting a bandaid over it (I heard someone compare an isolator to a bandaid before, so I am guessing isolators don't totally fix the problem?).

If there is something wrong with the amp would the noise vary with the rpms?

Iam guessing its pretty cheesy isolator.... pac and autosound2000 have high quality 1s which is a better bet..... as far as them being a bandaid, well sort of but they can be used to fix noise issues and a good one will give virtually no loss in fidelity...

I suspect if poping is going on you have more then one bug in your install... if you can't figure it out it might be worth taking it in to a shop...

Besides your sound problems, the install looks good. Nice and simple and still leaves room above in your hatch.

Maby I will just go and buy two nice isolators and be worry free. Do they ruin sound quality at all?

or

Say I don't buy isolators. Will the noises ruin my subs and speakers??? I have asked this question MANY times but never got a direct answer.

And thanks 347strokin. I was so busy dealin with this problem that I forgot about all your opinions on my install, haha.

A good isolator should not affect SQ....

I doubt alt noise or whatever will really harm your speakers although whine is extra power and noise could potentially cause damage to tweeters....... heavy pops or thumping could also bottom coils/tear suspensions.....
