hmm ok, a jackhammer is almost 22 db's louder than the solo x...that is great!

so now i want to see how many solo x 18's my jackhammer to-be can take on......notice the number of subs again, 1 vs 12

OMG one jackhammer is still louder than 12 solo x18's!!! there is no doubt in my mind that i chose the right sub. THANK U MTX!! I CANT WAIT FOR MY JACKHAMMER TO ARRIVE IN MAIL!

......did MTX hire someone from this board to do their product R&D? bigbubba when were u gonna tell us? congrats on the new position!

MTX also has the '04 SoloX 18" Xmax rated at 0.22" when it is actually 0.96" (24.48mm).

Yeah it's in the Xmax that the huge differences come up. 2.4" vs 0.22". So according to their stats the Jackhammer can excurt over 10 times as far as the Solo. Multiply that by the cone area and it appears that much more displaced air. I'd be suprised if the Solo only had 0.22" of Xmax though. With a cone that big and Xmax that much, I'm sure the Jackhammer could probably post big numbers by itself but just be real when it comes to comparing to other drivers (meaning get all the stats correct), otherwise it will just hurt their credibility.
