I thought that when you are looking for an amp, you would try and match up watts at the same ohm, so i am looking for an amp that puts out proper watts at 4 ohm's, but that link tells me to go with a 2 ohm set-up. Given i don't know a ton about car audio, but can someone explain it to me?
And i wanted to get a 2 channel amp and bridge it to power my subs, whats the advantage to getting a mono? just seems to be more expensive to get the right amount of power.
any explanation would be appreciated.

I think you have the right idea seth...
Ill assume from your post you have 2 4ohm subs... I would look for either a 4channel amp that can be bridged to run 4ohms x 2 or a 2channel that can be bridged into 2ohms x 1... or a mono amp that was designed for maximum rated power at 2ohms.... A 1ohm stable amp is fine, but you will be paying for power you cant use....
No real diff between a mono amp and a bridged amp as far as you will be concearned...

ok ty haunz,ya you right i do have 2 4 ohm subs.
That answers my question except for the 2 ohm part, now what did you mean by that? My subs are 150 watts rms each, should i just look for a 300 rms at 4 ohm amp? If not, then what wattage should i aim for at 2 ohms?

What subs do you have?
This is a more important peice of info than rated power.
I have a sub thats rated at 150watts rms and I am feeding it 50watts rms (if I believe the specs on the amp?. It sounds great and I have been doing this for over 3 years with no problem.

Find yourself a 2 ohm mono stable amp like the Concept CA275m. This little amp should de exactly what you need it to. There is a world of difference between 2 ohm stable and 2 ohm mono stable which is the main reason why I asked, "What subs do you have".
