Thumbs up

A custom fiberglass enclosure for your car would be pretty expensive, a box like that would save enough money to buy a better sub and amp.....

Then go custom fibreglass and choose a shallow mount sub for it. This will minimize the trunk space that you need and give you the bass response you are looking for. It is not a big car and if you are not after huge bass, then a simple 10" Pioneer Premiere shallow mount (on sale for $160.00 + gst and shipping) will easily do the job.

Well, a shallow mount will be perfect but I read that it dont sound great. Maybe i'm wrong. I will try to find a place near me to have a look at it. Never know.

I'm not after huge bass. Just want the little extra bass. How much will be too much for power ? Is 400RMS will be too much ? This car rattle alot so that 1 reason I dont want to go big.

OK, to add to the 10 vs 12 debate, I also suggest 10. #1. space #2. the type of music you listen to a 10 will be suitable for dance, trance, techno. you don't really need those lower frequencies that a 12 or 15 would give.

I don't really have much suggestions for what sub exactly but if you can find a Infinity Kappa Perfect 10" and place it in a sealed box, you're all set. It won't take up much space. Give it round 350rms and the sound quality is excellent. Tight and accurate for your type of music. The Kappa perfect series are not meant to be SPL subs, they focus more on SQ.

The 8w7 require a big box like a 10'' or 12''. I have done my homework. Its the 8w6 that need a smaller box. I have look JL audio but the price tag is really expensif. A use amp, I can live whit it but for a use sub (try too find 1 use) not really sure.

Rockford also makes a Decent lil 8" P2 8"
And yes the W7 requires a bigger box, but man that lil sub can take a beating.

Depending on your budget,
there are many options

I have always been a fan of these
