Tuneing for mids and highs

Tuneing for mids and highs

i am currently running the pioneer 9800BT head unit and an eclipse XA4000 for mids and highs,, but i'm having trouble setting the right curves and frequency(head unit stuff) and well i think i got the amp settings down ,, but just incase does any one have any recommendations?

Hmm what I usually do is mess around alot to see what sounds best. If you had an external EQ it would be even easier so you don't have to look through the deck all the time .

As Darin said, I put the head unit and amp into a neutral position ( if thats possible). Then I start with crossovers and external EQ's. If I need to then the amp. Now that every thing is set up the head unit can be changed to get more like able/ personal settings. If done properly the set and leave it settings away from the head unit don't need to be messed with again. You can and have pesonal control at your source for SQ, SPL or just touring music. The more control you have the better it will be and more complicated yet better in the end.

One word in final record all what you do. In case you need to go back or change some thing. Do one adjustment at a time. Your ears will fool you in time so give it time between adjustments.
