If you had to choose between an Elemental Designs 15A and an Eclipse Titanium 15, without being able to compare them side-by-side, how would you do it? What would be the deciding factor? Forget about differences in price. Does it all come down to personal taste? If one sub looks better on paper, will my ears even be able to tell the difference? Is this an inane question undeserving of an intelligent response?

less than 800rms =15a
more than 800rms -ti15
sq = subjective to listener

remembering power range above;
small ported = 15a
mid-large ported = ti15
sealed = ti15

If I had a small amp and wanted to run a small ported enclosure I would go with the 15a.
For every other situation I would go with the Eclipse.

Without wanting to put words in Dukk's mouth, I believe he means something like; Eclipse has a long proven history of high quality subs. Whereas eD seems to have a very interesting product worth checking out, it is still very young and small (which doesn't automatically mean it is worse) without the track record of Eclipse.
You asked a very basic, sight unseen, nothing else to go by question. The answer is take the long proven performer.

Or maybe not?

How bout you kick both those POS to the curb and start Livin' Loud with a Kicker L7 or Solo X series sub.

How's about you continue to play with your one note wonder and the rest of us will continue to play with all the other brands that you cannot see because you have the blinders on. What exactly makes these brands in particular a POS as compared to your L7? Care to share some inside info with some of us? I would really like to hear this.

Another vote for the Eclipse.

Yeah some people like quality sounding products not just BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM.

I personall would take the 15a in every situation except in a larger ported enclosure and with above 1000wrms. I would say if you can listen to them both and decide based on which you like better.

I say the 15a, simply for the fact I had the 10 inch version, and loved it.
Can't go wrong either way, and I doubt you'd be able to "hear" too much of a difference.
