Type S vs Type R?

I currently have the latest version type S 10" running off of a Mrp-M500 and I want to upgrade....Will sticking a 10" type R in the same box with the same setup be any louder than my type S??? I dont have any play room with the box it just fits the way I want it to and it is an Audio Enhancer .70Cuft slot ported tuned at (45hz) which seems high but it actually hits low to my ears any ways.

If output is your goal switching over to the Type-r will have no noticeable gain, the type-s are perfect for the amp you are using and the type-s are more efficient than the type-r's.

^^^gramser57 is correct, i actually have first hand experience with this as well, i was in the same situation with one of my cars, i had a type s with the same 500watt amp, and decided to switch to a type r with a 1000watt amp, but i hooked up the type r to the 500watt just to see, no noticeable difference, maybe even worse, type r's arent nearly as efficient as the type s in my opinion and will require near full power to operate how they should, so just trying to save you money and heartache, dont buy that type r if your not gonna get a bigger amp, if you can afford to get a type r and a new amp do it! the type r is a beast when properly powered, if you want more power and only have room for one woofer you will definately have to upgrade to a bigger amp at some point, just my 2 cents. good luck
