I bought the Clarion DXZ955MC a couple of days ago but I'm having a little trouble understanding the time alignment option.
I know what the purpose of TA is, but it's how they describe it in the manual.

I am told that for TA to work I must be in either 2way or 3way mode, 3way being that one set of RCA's is for HIGH, one for MID, and one for SUB-W.

So does this mean that I need an amp for both the MID's and HIGH's (Or a 4-channel for both) and SUB-W?

i have the Alpine unit that has the time alignment feature too. I'm using 2 4 channel amps. 1 set of channels runs my tweets, the other channels are bridged and runs my sub .the second amp the 4 channels run the mids a set of 5" Aura mr's and 6.5 Kaption MTP's. Still have some tunning to do but sounds mint

So when you use the time alignment feature you configure the RCA's for your high's, mid's, and sub right? I guess that would render the passive crossover's that come with your comps useless right? Since you would be using the crossover on the amp with the tweeter power and mid power seperated.

Yes that is true. I have all my compnets runnign on the active crossovers. Trust me you'll like how it sounds and it gives you more adjustability.

Are there websites that sell just the drivers? Something similiar to the focal polyglass comps would be ideal.
