Well as far as low distortion high output, W7 is probably the best. Others do come close though, for less money as well. Never heard concept though.

I demoed a 12W7 in my car off my JL 500/1. IT played everything flawlessly and get way louder than I would ever need.

That being said, I run a 12W6V2(Manville Smith of JL recommends the W6v2 over the W7 up to 500 watts), and I really couldn't be happier. I strongly recommend it.

The csp can get louder, but the w7 can do blah blah blah. Sorry, I just can't justify buying a w7, when u can get a REXXX(and others) for ALOT less.

There is no comparison. Concept is just that, a concept. JL spent more time doing r&d on the W7 than Concept has been in business. Concept builds their subs with parts from the CES woofer buffet, JL builds everything( except for a few bolts) W7 may not be AS loud as some of the other monster subs out there, but it wasn;t meant to be. It was meant to be extremely loud without sacrificing ANY sq. If you do the research on the JL and still can't justify it, don't. It wasn't meant for you. The W6v2 is a better fit for most people as it shares SOME of the W7 technologies, but at a more reasonable price for most.

From my understanding XBL^2 addresses non-linearities in flux from the magnet....

The W7 also has extremly linear BL, and also adresses non-linearity due to coil inductance and capitance...

They modeled the woofer considering the amount of power that is gong to be going through the coil... as opposed to using small signal models and low power dumax testing....

So OK.. they are friggn expensive... so expensive that most people wouldn't be able to justify owning one... but if you want the best, you are going to have to pay for it....

I've heard w7's installed, but haven't tested um yet. The mounting procedure looks like it sux(not that it's a big deal). I've always bucked up for the goods, but I try to think about it first.
