I drive a 1996 Toyota Corola. and have a medium sys in it in my eyes.
The back seat to my car is a 60/40 split. the 40 part is a built in baby seat. and the 60 part is foldable for a passthru to the trunk. I want to put a piece of wood to block the passthru and just mount my 12 DVC HE2 Rockford sub. With my Kicker KX 850.2 powerinf it. That way I will still have my truck for groceries and crap like that. and when nothing is in it I can pump up the tunes. I want to make it so when i need the bqck seat all i need to do is close the foldout and turn off the sub. will this be a problem? and is that ampt too much juice for the sub. I currently have 2 of the said subs off the amp...but got no trunk room whatsoever. So I'm gona sell the box and 1 sub and use the $ for the Wall.
As for the rest of the car all 4 speakers are Cerwin Vega's 6X9 in rear 5 and 1/4 in front. have a kicker 400.4 powering them. and a clarion deck as the HU
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Hello
I tried something similar to that when I was younger and found out there is too much trunk space (for the sub I was using) for proper control of the sub so I ended up tearing the surround. I am unsure of the specs on that sub so I can't say if it will work. Try to find one that will work in an infinite baffle. You have to make sure the trunk is sealed in the pass compartment if you do mount a piece of wood in the area. You don't want any air leakage between the trunk and pass area.
Alternatively you could make an aperiodic enclosure, you loose almost no space with this enclosure but it also isn't as punchy. Depends on what type of music you listen to.
Good luck, J
