want to upgrade from stock

Hi everyone im both new to car audio and this forum so i have a few questions regarding factory speakers. I have a 2006 lx v6 kia sportage which has a six speaker setup that includes mounted tweeters on the dash. Ive recently upgraded my head unit to a jvc Kd sh1000 which seemed to have all the bells and whistles i was looking for. Esp the front usb and sd memory card slot . What i want to ask youre advice on is the speakers . Im looking to get good clear sound with minimal space being taken up bye amps /subs unless i absolutely need to . Can someone please recommend some speaker brands that would play well from the factory positions . Also will the component types with higher quality tweeters fit into the factory dash mounts or will i need to mod. lets give it a budget of say four to six hundred dollars max . Thanks

Most anyone here would be willing to offer some adveice but maybe a little more info?

What type of bass do you want? Are you going with a sub? etc etc

Sounds like with your budget, I would keep the factory speakers, cross them over around 160 hz and add a single sub with an amp.

Just my $0.02

thanks for the quick reply . My intentions were to keep the speakers in the factory positions with out the use of an amp or sub . This was merely for spacial concerns. So my budget was for the indoor speakers only . I am willing to to add amps etc later but for now i want something that will take my sound up to another level over the factorys.also to fit in the same positions esp the tweeters

Well if your not using an amp get high efficency lower powered speakers. Something like the JBL CS series or Kicker DS made as more of a stock replacement because at best you will only see about 19-20Wrms each channel off the stock HU
