I'm thinking of getting 2 12" subs, just wondering what subs will sound good in a sealed box (around 1 cube) i'm running a rockford 1000bd so I need a 2ohm final load. Right now i'm running a 12L7 in a 1.75 cube ported. I miss the sound quality of sealed subs but I don't like the way the L7 sounds sealed. Any suggestions?

CompVRs were really good in a sealed box... maybe try 4 of them feeding them a little over 300W RMS A piece which the amp will be able to do.

There is only one sub that I use for this task, and have done the same system many times over (thus works great - same amp). The big nasty Eclipse aluminum sub in a 1 - 1.25 cu.ft. sealed enclosure. It is available in a single 4 ohm coil thus your amp will take a pair of the in a parallel circuit. These subs play to extreme depth with authority, are not a one note wonder at 70hz, and will give amazing SQ and a healthy dose of SPL if afsked to deliver. They are not a inexpensive sub by any means and must be purchased from an authorized dealer.
