Ok, so I ordered an amp for my work truck - was looking for a 5 channel budget amp to simply run all 4 doors and add a couple subs in my Silverado crew cab. I had a PPI amp back in the day (early - mid 90's) so I wanted to see if they were still around. To my surprise, they are. Anyway, I was looking at the Black Ice series and the Trax series and decided to get the Trax 5.2200D since it was priced where I needed it to be, it is class D, and I was wanting a more efficient amp to reduce the strain on my stock electrical system. I got the amp delivered no problem (actually arrived a day earlier than expected) and that's when the confusion started for me. The outside of the box says it is class A/B amp, while on the top of the amp it says "Trax 5.2200D". So does anyone know which is correct? The "owners manual" that came with it is no help. It doesn't even list the amp in there for the spec sheet. I contacted PPI looking for a downloadable manual, but haven't heard anything back from them. Thanks for any help in advance.
