The part that burns me is the distributors who charge such a high amount (we'll say the 30% Steve mentioned) but ALSO include an extra 5-10% to account for a possible fluctuation in the exchange rate. But when the dollar gains strength do we ever see them LOWER prices? Hell no, they just keep the extra money for themselves. (so now it's an extra 20% or so)

Smartass, I was wondering, on a slightly different topic, how come I see more stuff taken off your site then put on, all the RE and chronic stuff is gone, so is JBL and such. Whats going on?

HEHE no problem, well a few reasons. Periodically I get the authorization to add products. And sometimes the online store cause a few thorns in other retailers saddles. So they call the distributor and complain and they ask them to be removed. Secondly JBL I am allow to advertise some products so they are up and other models are not allowed. We are in the process of adding the module that instead of having the price says "Call For Pricing" so the rest of the JBL, Infinity, Memphis and so on will have this once added. As for Chronic in the last little while we were unable to contact them via email or phone so has since been pulled off. If I as a retailer or distributor or hwat have can not get information or contact anyone you as a customer will not be happy if you need service or have questions. Once all this has settled down it will even out. Thanks for the question though.

Cheers

Performance (SQ or SPL) after that ... cosmetics (dont say it doesnt matter because it does) and these two combined give EASY TO USE features not a "user hostile" screen

Performance of the product is everything for me...... then build quality, then customer service. i could always deal with the cosmetic in the installation......
