I think the absence of the entire surround would tip me off to something weird. Why would the whole surround be missing? A tear I can understand. Then leave it on to show that. But for a pricey speaker like that to have the surround removed, making it useless, would seem fishy to me. Speaker City can fix that for sure so maybe find out from them what it would cost. Otherwise you have a really fancy looking decoration for the home
