I used to run Eclipse a couple years ago, before they went into futureshop, when they didnt really have alot of features, just good sound. Im not really a fan of Alpine units, cause I find them not very user friendly. Maybe its just the models that I was trying to configure.
yeah ive never tried alpine.... but they all look the same to me... i also dont mind clarion... i had an older one and it was sweet.. the new ones look to flashy to me tho.

Yeah, I used to sell Clarion and Pioneer as our HU lineup. Much preferred the Pioneer stuff. More meat and potatoes and a decent price. With the Clarion stuff, you needed $400 to get any decent features, if not more. With the Pioneer, around $600 will get you the best unit they carry other than dvd units.

Talking

I like alpine personally, so as long as your willing to learn then they're a good unit for the price. Userfriendly wasn't in mind with them though, so have patience. They seem to sound alot cleaner than most units I've run. Just my 2cents.

I have a crapload of experience with Eclipse cd players. In my opinion they are one of the finest in the market in their price range. Unparalleled tonal response and a crapload of options.

No to the 9500, typically I have gone into the Eclipse titanium drivers or DD subs over the last number of years. I want to try them though, that is for sure, just need a customer guinea pig that has interest in them.
