What style of Xover do you like and why

I have been looking a electronic Xovers and am kinda unsure about the differences in the chip type and the dial type? Is it even a issue or is there positives of negatives to either. Seems like messing with chips would be a pain but most I have seen use them.

Also the pots for adjusting the frequency can degrade over time, causing shifts in your settings.

Chips=accuracy, reliability
Dials=convieniance

I kinda thought the chip would be better because I seen it used in alot more applications I just didnt realy understand why. Thanks for the info its great to be able to get answers from experienced people like yourselves.

I prefer a dial based crossover.

Chips - accuracy, pain in the *** to tune.

Dials - easy to tune, accuracy is what you make of it.
