Whats your choice of best low budget 2ohm stable amp?

i'd say assuming ya don't need a subsonic filter, that JBL 600.1 has to be one of hte better watts for your dollar amp.

it'll give ya 700-750 (generally) at 1 or 2 ohms.

and when i checked about 4 months ago they were costing $170US thats $272CDN. And there's tons of people buying those amps, so it can't be that hard to find a used one either (i don't think)

OK, I'll admit I haven't been too impressed with the new amps from RF and MTX in the past few years but did someone just write Sony in the same sentence as the others including my beloved Memphis? I'm hurt.

I haven't been into car audio long, but for $206 cdn tax in, at Wal-Mart I got a Jenson 600 watt 2-3-4 chanel 2-4-8 ohm bridgabe amp. It has 2 input plus 2 output RCA jacks.

What is it about RF and MTX you havent been impressed with? And what yr did you start to change your opinion on these companies?

What can I say - I'm a shizzle disturber but I'll put a 3001XM-D at 2 ohm against any other amp that makes 600 watts at 2 ohms.

Now given the choice I would take the Memphis in a heartbeat (and no I do not own the Sony, I'm not a Sony fan but it's a decent amp)
