What's your favourite Amplifier brand?
#11
my #1 favorite amps are the Crown amps
if I had to go with another brand I would go with Zapco or Audison
out of your choices I would have to say Rockford although I am no longer
a fan of mediocre class D
I'll be going class AB on my components as well very soon

ok then, step away from future shop and get some real power

Ohh... real power like the RF power T40001BD, Pioneer PRS-D2000SPL, MTX TE4001D and Alpine MRP M2000. The poll didn't specify which models, or even what time period. Just because FS abd BB carry the Brand doesn't mean everything they make is Joe average stuff...Ever heard of Alpine F#1 status??? Come to think of it, doesn't Pioneer still have the SPL record? I may be mistaken, but even so, i'm sure they didn't get the stuff off the shelf at FS. Open your mind, don't just go with the "popular brand" is junk crowd. Lots of good stuff out there, and some of it is mass produced.

And the old school Orion, I always loved the HCCAs and SX series.
I had a nice set of old school PPIs that came with a fox I had bought, art series.. LOL, sold them for $35, all 4. LOL
My wife ran 2 Rockford Amps in her car. She sold it, and the person we know is still running the system. 6 years strong!
I opted for Kicker though

I'm guessing we think they're great because of personal experience. I don't think anyone would say something is their favourite if they had bad experiences with it. In my case, I've used them for 10 years in 4 different systems, my GF's, my dad's, my brother's, and mine. I've never had a problem, they sound great, and I like them. Can't say the same for Sony and Pioneer as I've had many problems with many different products of theirs.

^^likewise, in my case I've used them for 20 years. Infact I met a friend of a friend a few months back that bought my 92 Ford Mustang 5.0 with my system in it. The only components still working and being used is the Alpine deck and changer, and 2 Punch 75 amps. It was kind of cool seeing the machine, but man is it in bad shape, the car that is...the amps look pretty good except for a few scratches.
