Where to buy High Output Alternator?

Hello Everyone,

I'm a Newbie to this site and I joined to find out information so I can have some fun, put a few toys in my truck and you guys seemed like a good start to find some info. I have an older Alpine head unit and V12 amp (4 x 40 amp I believe) that I'm looking to upgrade. I also have a high output ignition system in the truck and between the both my voltage is already dropping at Idle.
Since I am looking to put in a larger amp or two the first step I want to make is upgrade my wiring and alternator.
Who's out there in the Vancouver area that builds a reliable, quality alternator? Or for that matter, is there anyone here on this community site that does this? I don't believe I need to go crazy with a huge output alternator, just somewhere in the neighbourhood of 150 amps.
Any help and recommendations would be a great start, thanks.

For the most part voltage dropping at idle is normal, most high output alternators will not help you at idle and even more so if your truck does not have fuel injection to control normal idle under load.
