Hi, Does anybody know of a gas station that's full service, quality gas and doesn't "jack up" their prices.

News flash - stores don't jack up their prices.

Question

This begs the question.....you drive a car worth $20Gs or thereabouts, you have at least $3K worth of audio gear listed in your sig., and you object to paying $20 or so for the wiring harness??....

There are very few harnesses that cost more than that....you should be able to find the one for your car no problem at any shop.....

And you come to a site and expect service from people and are not willing to give anything in return? All to save a couple of bucks?

How much can a kit and harness for your car possibly cost? Honestly , your better off going to your local dealer and picking one up. It will save a bit of hassle and you get what you need to make it work . Plus, shops are more inclined to give advice (if your a do it yourselfer) to someone who has bought stuff from them. Support your local dealer.

Canadian car audio stores jack up their prices as much as they can, it's a rip off.
This is why, Not long ago I was shopping for subs, 12" Alpine type R's swr-1222d the best price that I have found was $289 each plus tax. Went across the boarder and got a 2 pairs of them for $245US a pair saved myself $600. Shopped around for circuit breakers locally $40 each, bought 6 of them in the US for $65US shipped to my door and saved $167. It really pay now to shop in Canadian car audio stores.

Actually, it's to make what is called a profit...the amount is determined by the rule of supply and demand.

The issue has been talked to death....the part that makes me laugh is how surprised people are that an Internet-based retailer in a country with 10 times the population sells things cheaper....

Since you think it's OK to buy American, go ask them for help and advice....

wow buddy....you are a bit off on that one.

you go buy your alpine subs in the u.s., you have issues with one, what do you do? nothing. you are stuck with a dead sub. YOU HAVE NO WARRANTY IN CANADA FOR AUDIO EQUIPMENT PURCHASED IN THE U.S.

I agree totally with the previous question on why you would put so much time into saving a couple bucks on a kit (fyi, unless you have a gst #, business #, etc you wont be able to buy directly from the distributor). If you have an issue with the install, who are you going to call?

Just buy it from a local shop. Yes they put a markup on the kit, but thats how they pay for the shipping, overhead, etc. a 15.00 kit for 20.00 and a buttload of aftersale support is well worth it.
